Alpine Roach Gel will start killing roaches within hours after contact. Attractive: Both bait matrices appeal to gel-bait-averse and non-gel-bait-averse cockroaches. Fast-Acting: These BASF products begin killing cockroaches within minutes after exposure to the bait. Alpine Cockroach Gel Bait Rotation 1 Reservoir was the first roach gel labeled Reduced-Risk by the EPA, meaning the active ingredient is safer around people, pets and the environment. Apply along every corner and wall intersection in a thin bead, allow to dry in place, and once dried it will retain the beaded shape. Do not allow children or pets to get near it. Use in drawers, behind and under sinks, and where cabinets attach to the wall or backsplash: Wherever roaches travel. Follow the included instructions for safety. Alpine Cockroach Gel Bait uses the active ingredient Dinotefuran. Dinotefuran is a newer non-repellent active ingredient that the EPA has granted Reduced Risk status for public health use. Dinotefuran is part of the insecticide class neonicotinoids, neuro-active insecticides that are modelled after nicotine. Dinotefuran is a central nervous system inhibitor that takes effect after insects ingest it. The effects of the active ingredient are slow enough that roaches who have consumed Alpine Cockroach Gel Bait will come in contact with other roaches and transfer the active ingredient, either directly or indirectly through feeding on faeces or poisoned carcasses. There is no known pest resistance to dinotefuran.
